Matai Coffee table

A horizontal slice of a Matai trunk. Beautiful grain.  Found in my late uncle Rexs shed ceilings rafters.

Project 5 - an interesting lip

This was a blank of dark chocolate coloured wood (unknown variety).
It turned out to be very hard, dry and dense.  Very challenging to turn.
